A cross-border railway linking landlocked Burkina Faso to Ghana’s main port — one of West Africa’s most strategically significant infrastructure projects.

The project involves the development of a standard gauge railway line connecting Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, to the Port of Tema in Ghana. The Ghana section spans 468 km, running from Tema eastward through Akosombo, Ho and Yendi, with a link through Tamale to the Central Spine and onwards to Paga at the border. The cross-border section continues for a further 320 km through Dakola, Tenkodogo and Manga before reaching Ouagadougou.

Team Group’s engagement covers the full project lifecycle across four phases: a completed feasibility study with front-end engineering design and business case; ongoing procurement support to secure a PPP investor; and future design vetting, supervision and monitoring through to final delivery.
