A 204-bed general hospital designed from scratch for Equatorial Guinea’s planned capital city — one of the largest healthcare facilities Team Group has delivered.

The Oyala General Hospital is a new civic healthcare facility designed for the city of Oyala, Equatorial Guinea’s planned new capital. The complex spans 28,300 m² of built area across a 14-hectare site and is organised into five functional blocks over two storeys. The programme includes a casualty department, operating rooms and intensive care units, specialist outpatient departments on the ground floor, and a multi-functional building housing a conference room, library and residential accommodation for medical staff.

The site infrastructure was fully designed as part of the project, including a heliport, water supply and drinking water network, water conditioning, power supply plant and refrigeration plant, along with car parking and external works.

Team Group delivered the complete final design including all civil works, building installations, specialist systems and external works.
