New Railway Station “Mind-Cascina Merlata" - Technical & Economic Feasibility Design

Technical and Economic Feasibility Design of the new railway station “Milano MIND-Merlata” and the relative works to adapt accessibility to the MIC pedestrian walkway (Expo-Merlata walkway).
The “Milano MIND-Merlata” railway station is located on the Milano-Domodossola section, between the existing Milan-Certosa and Rho Fiera Milano stations.
The technical and economic feasibility project includes:

• Insertion of a central railway station (Varese line) and vertical connections with the MIC walkway;
• Passenger building within the MIND site;
• Services for travellers to and from Cascina Merlata;
• Adaptation of the MIC gangway through a cycle-pedestrian ramp.

The different areas will be the subject of integrated project development, while taking into account the need to guarantee autonomy between the railway stop system and the MIND-Cascina Merlata urban connection, consisting of the cycle and pedestrian walkways.
